FEMALE CANDIDATES ON THE RISE - BIG TIME Not bad news for female voice actors July 24, 2026: As reported by CampaignsandElections.com, there's new data fro the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers U that shows women are on pace to set several candidacy records in the 2026 midterms. We've noticed that many political productions houses have been ahead of the curve for months if not years. Demand for our female voice actors has increased in percentage vs. male voice actors for political spots over the past two years. 85 women are running for governor as compared with 69 in 2022, and that was a record then.
DEMOCRATS WAKING UP FROM THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA SNOOZE Production Companies to benefit? July 23, 2026: According to ABC News, the Democratic National Committee is looking to reverse the 2024 election loss in gaining the attention and growing the youth vote through social media. How did they miss that in the first place? Donald Trump on Joe Rogan but not Kamala Harris? The Dems were trumped in that regard. But now the DNC is striving to grow it's "Influencer & Creative" program by partnering with more than 500 creators to help get the party's message through as we go into the midterms and on. The director of the program is Matt Rein, and he told ABC News that he intends to build out a model and make it sustainable for years to come. Interestingly, he says there are no minimum follower requirements, which is like the dirt under a grass roots program. "We have folks in our Signal about 1,000 followers; we have people who have ten million , right? One method the DNC is using is sharing produced video clips to influencers. More video clips mean more projects for audio and video production companies.
